There are too many "Christians" who have bow the knee to Baal, to integrate their faith to the toxicity of culture, trying to be inclusive and losing their minds in the process. Where are the Nehemiahs, the people of courage ? We must say, NO, to sin that disguises as inclusivity. As St. Patrick noted in his blessing, Christ is above us and below or beneath us. It almost sounds sacrilegious unless you realize the assertion of Colossians that it is Christ who upholds our very lives.
Oh, all the joy inside me is activated like jumping beans by this verse, Colossians 1:16-17, being discussed and taken as the very foundation of history and life! I don't know why the substance of this verse is not zeroed in on more often as the upholder of the entire cosmos. On the other side of this enormous reality then; it is not any kind of punishment per se to anyone if and when God simply stops upholding a life or an entire nation.
