As I was reading, I was remembering how strongly the Holy Spirit taught me early to always get permission before I bought a book, saw a movie, listened to music, went to a concert, and so on. He made sure I was aware of the spiritual content of all of those things before I put them into my mind. At this point, I don't watch live TV, watch movies, and I only read occasional books. I haven't gone to a concert for several decades. I no longer use social media much, if at all. I'm very careful about the people using Substack, as well. The Satanic world system has gotten very dangerous.
It's saved me a lot of trouble. When my wife was still alive, she watched TV constantly and it was a problem for me. As a visual person and graphic designer I am very sensitive to visual input. Advertising is a real problem.
The Lord has carefully shown me how to keep it under control. It's been a real relief to be able to eliminate most of it. Of course, the result is that I am basically a hermit. Jesus is definitely my best friend, and nearly my only one. I'm not bragging. I'm dependent upon Him for discernment.
The Lord is bringing me back out into social situations. It has really gotten bad. True believers are really rare. Anti-God attitudes are rampant. He told me to move here, and that He has things for me to do here. That sounds good.
The world will distract you; the Word will guide you. Stay connected with the Spirit of God
